Yes! If you've never had any Tinting done before (with us) you will require a Patch Test for any Tinting and/or Lash Lift treatments. Ideally this should be 24-48 hours prior to the treatment, but can be done up to 6months in advance. If you have sensitive skin, we also offer patch testing for our waxing & facial treatments too (please contact the salon directly for details)
It is your responsibility to check if the treatment you're booking requires a patch test and to subsequently ensure that you book in the patch test before your appointment.
Please Note: if a patch test is required for your chosen treatment and you haven't already had one with us, you will need to book in for this using our online booking system beforehand. If you fail to do so, your appointment will unfortunately not be able to go ahead and will be cancelled without notifying you and you will be liable for a charge as you have taken an appointment slot but cannot have the treatment.
On some occasions, treatments can be swapped like for like (e.g. where the appointment's allocated time is the same) so you can book in for a facial but the therapist may recommend a different one on the day if they feel as though your skin may be suited to a different treatment.
If you decide to not go ahead with a pre-booked treatment on the day, or swap it for a lesser value treatment then you will be liable for the difference due to the fact that a slot was allocated to you already.
As we are an extremely busy salon and we operate on an appointment only basis, we recommend that you arrive to any and all appointments at least 5 minutes early (which means ensuring you leave ample time to locate us!)
Please Note: we may not be able to accommodate your appointment if you are extra early or late, as this means we will be off schedule for all of the appointments that follow you! Therefore in order to ensure this doesn’t happen, all treatments are given a 5 minute cut off point - if you are any later than this, your appointment will need to be cancelled and rescheduled but you will be liable for a 50% charge of your appointment due to the fact that it cannot go ahead because you arrived late.
We are in Odell's Yard in Stony Stratford, and are opposite the French Affaire restaurant. We also have parking available in Odell's Yard Car Park which is next to Telegraph Walk Car Park. When trying to locate us from the High Street, we are located down the alley that is in between the Odell's Ironmongers Shop and Kitchen Shop which is opposite the Church and Budgens/Post Office!
Text reminders are sent out 72 hours prior to your treatment, and require you to reply "Y" in order to confirm your appointment or "N" to cancel it. If you are unsure if you have an upcoming appointment, give us a call!
If you confirm your appointment and fail to attend it, you will be marked as a ''no-show'' and subsequently charged for 100% of the treatment regardless of the reason, as we will be unable to fill the slot.
Please Note: we require that you reply to your confirmation text message within 24hours of receiving it, failure to do so will result in a 50% charge if you are cancelling within 48hours of the appointment.
We require that all appointments are cancelled at least 48 hours in advance, so we can make use of the time slot. You can let us know by responding to the reminder, texting us, calling us or emailing us!
If you are cancelling in line with our cancellation policy with sufficient notice (minimum 48hrs), you will be able to book another appointment for a time and day that suits you with no deposit or cancellation fee required.
If you are marked as a 'no-show' your next appointment slot will only be held until a deposit payment is made (you will be contacted with instructions) and if the deposit is not made within 24hours of us getting in touch, your appointment will be made null and void.
If you have booked in an appointment with us and simply fail to attend, you will be charged 100% of the appointment's value. This is an automatic charge that will be applied to the card you have saved on file with us, or alternatively will be taken off of your gift certificate's total value.

Please Note: if you simply do not turn up to an appointment without cancelling within our 48-hour cancellation policy, a non-refundable deposit will also always be required for your next treatment with us.
We require that all clients input their card details at the time of making an appointment online to protect us against no-shows in line with our cancellation policy.
We do not require deposits for most of our treatments, but may require one depending on the size of your booking, or if you previously did not turn up to an appointment without letting us know. If a deposit is required, we will contact you with the amount and payment can be made in person, over the phone or online.
Please Note: if you fail to attend an appointment but did not cancel in line with our cancellation policy, a non-refundable deposit will be required for your next booking with us. This is to ensure that the slot has been reserved for you and that you will be attending as no-show's unfortunately cost us time and money!
The non-refundable deposit amount will depend on the treatment. This deposit will be able to be transferred (a maximum of once) if you need to cancel within our cancellation policy, but will not be upheld if you cancel with no notice or fail to show up.

Yes we do! We offer Gift Vouchers which can be physically purchased from within the salon for any treatment or any amount, alternatively if you can’t make it in - we also offer eVouchers, for which payment is taken over the phone & the voucher is then sent over via email! Our Gift Vouchers are now valid for 9months and require the recipient to book in an appointment and bring it with them in order to redeem it.

Our vouchers are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, and can only be used by the recipient (and therefore cannot be transferred onto another individual)

In order to redeem this voucher, an appointment must be booked in advance online (at www.TheBeautyBarMK.co.uk),
This voucher is valid for 9 months from the date it was purchased, entitling the recipient to sufficient time to use it and therefore it CANNOT under ANY circumstance be extended or honoured past the expiry.
This voucher cannot be refunded or exchanged. If a specific treatment has been purchased, this can be exchanged for a different treatment of the same or more value at the manager's discretion. You must bring this voucher with you to your appointment, and ensure that you inform us beforehand when making your booking that you have a voucher (please quote the voucher code when making your booking)
The Beauty Bar MK is an appointment only salon, and therefore we often expect to be booked up for anything between 2-6 weeks in advance. We therefore strongly urge that you book in an appointment to use this gift certificate immediately after receiving it to avoid the disappointment of not being able to use it before it expires.
We do not offer same day or last minute appointments, so if you fail t o book in an appointment in accordance with this information we will be unable to help you if your gift certificate is about to expire and you cannot find suitable availability (as you have been given ample time to get an appointment booked in from the date you received this gift certificate). Please note: appointments can be booked up to 6 months in advance with us, so it is the recipient's sole responsibility to ensure they book in an appointment in order to use the amount/treatment that is listed on this gift certificate. The Beauty Bar MK therefore assumes no responsibility if you are unable to find a suitable appointment slot.
The Beauty Bar MK holds no responsibility if this gift certificate becomes lost, and failure to produce this physical copy at your appointment will mean it cannot be redeemed. If this voucher states an amount, this can only be redeemed against the treatments that we offer so please see our website for a full list of treatments under 'Price List’. If you have a specific treatment listed on this voucher, and the treatment itself has had a price increase since the gift certificate was bought; your gift certificate will be redeemed for the original monetary value that it was initially purchased for thus meaning you will be required to pay the difference. If a specific treatment is listed on your gift certificate, but we no longer that treatment then we will convert the gift certificate's treatment into its monetary value in order to allow you to redeem it against any other treatment(s) you'd like instead.
If you book an appointment and fail to attend then 100% of the total appointment's value will automatically be deducted from the gift certificate’s value. If you cancel within 48hours to your appointment then 50% of the total appointment's value will automatically be deducted from the gift certificate’s value. We require that all clients arrive 5 minutes before the start of their appointment as if you are later than 5 minutes, your appointment will be voided. If an appointment cannot go ahead due to a late arrival, this will result in 50% of the appointment's value being deducted from the overall gift certificate’s value. If this is your first appointment with us then we recommend that you leave ample time to locate us (we have our own car park available for customers) so we cannot take any responsibility for any late arrivals resulting in a ''cancelled'' appointment.
The Beauty Bar MK hold's no responsibility under any circumstances if you are unable to use your gift certificate before it's expiry. We are not liable if you arrive late or fail to attend an appointment resulting in it being cancelled and are then unable to use the gift certificate before it expires.
A confirmation text will be sent to the number you have provided 72 hours before your appointment, it is essential to reply to that to confirm your appointment at least 48 hours before your appointment. Please note: if we do not receive a reply within 24hours of receiving it, your appointment will automatically be voided and marked as a cancellation; resulting in a 50% charge. All staff will strictly abide by the above terms & conditions and no exceptions will be made.
After you have booked in and redeemed this gift certificate against the balance of your treatments, any remaining balance will still be subject to the original expiry date as listed on the front of this gift certificate and will not be extended.

For most of our treatments, you are required to be aged 16+ however some treatments can be preformed if you are younger with parental consent and a parent present.
If you are pregnant or suspect that you may be, we are unable to offer any back facials (due to the fact that you must be laid flat on your stomach) and we cannot offer any chemical peels or machinery based specialist facials. We can however discuss other suitable options with you so please inform the salon/your therapist if you are pregnant or suspect that you might be.
If you react to a patch test, we recommend that you get in touch with us so that your upcoming appointment can be cancelled. We can also discuss other options where possible, but you would not be able to have the treatment that you have reacted to.
If you fail to tell us that you have reacted to a patch test, and still come in for the treatment then The Beauty Bar MK assumes no responsibility for your actions and any subsequent reactions. It is your responsibility to inform the therapist/salon if you have suffered a reaction.
All of our patch tests are recorded on our system and stored.
Yes we do, we accept all of the major cards such as American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Apply Pay, Google Pay, Android Pay.
We don't offer paper receipts to help us be more eco-friendly, but we do offer email receipts (just ask!)
Appointments/treatments can also be pre-paid for by contacting us (you can prepay for yourself or other individuals too!)
We offer a 10% OAP (Old Age Pensioners) discount on all of our treatments, everyday. This discount is valid only on treatments when the OAP is paying for themselves, and not when someone else is paying for them. The OAP discount cannot be applied to gift certificates or used in conjunction with a gift certificate and cannot be transferred onto any other individual.
We do not run promotional offers or offer any discounts other than a 10% OAP discount. Please see above for details.
